The rules for using Foldoc, including account responsibilities, file processing, paid plans, and service limitations.

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service govern your access to Foldoc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Foldoc for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

The service

Foldoc converts supported documents between supported formats and provides related PDF operations. Format support, file-size limits, conversion quotas, and retention periods depend on the selected plan and may change as the service evolves.

Converted files can differ from the source in layout, fonts, pagination, formulas, animations, embedded media, accessibility structure, or other format-specific features. You are responsible for reviewing every output before relying on it.

Your files and permissions

You retain ownership of files and other content you submit. You grant Foldoc only the limited permission needed to receive, scan, process, convert, store temporarily, and return that content to you, and to operate and secure the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions required to upload and process each file. Foldoc does not use document contents for advertising or model training.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes another person's rights.
Do not upload malware, attempt to bypass file or usage limits, probe other accounts, or interfere with service security.
Do not use automated access except through interfaces expressly provided by Foldoc.
Do not use the service in a way that violates export controls, sanctions, or other applicable law.

Plans, billing, and taxes

Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. Prices are shown before applicable taxes. Payments, invoices, payment-method updates, and subscription management are handled through Stripe. You authorize recurring charges for the plan you select.

You may cancel through the billing page or Stripe customer portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund eligibility is described in the Refund Policy, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Foldoc available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Maintenance, provider outages, security events, legal requirements, or capacity limits may temporarily affect access. We may change or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects a paid plan where practicable.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate abuse, comply with law, address nonpayment, or protect the service and its users. You may stop using Foldoc and request account deletion. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Foldoc is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without implied warranties. Foldoc is not a backup service, records-management system, or substitute for professional review of converted files.

To the extent permitted by law, Foldoc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities. Any aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

Changes and contact
